Health Care Assistant

At The Baby Suite, we are looking for a warm and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to help support the smooth running of our private baby scan clinic in Lewisham.

This role would particularly suit a mature and personable individual with previous experience or interest in midwifery, maternity care, healthcare, fertility, ultrasound or customer\-focused clinical environments.

You will play an important role in helping families feel welcomed, relaxed and cared for during one of the most special moments of their pregnancy journey.

The Role

This is a varied and rewarding role assisting with the day\-to\-day running of the clinic and supporting the sonographer during ultrasound appointments.

Typical duties include:

• Welcoming and assisting clients on arrival


• Preparing scan rooms and maintaining high clinical standards


• Supporting the sonographer during ultrasound appointments


• Assisting with client flow and ensuring clinics run smoothly and efficiently


• Preparing scan photos, videos and keepsakes


• Answering calls and responding to enquiries professionally


• Assisting with basic administrative tasks and appointment management


• Maintaining stock levels and cleanliness within the clinic


• Providing reassurance and excellent customer care to pregnant women and their families

Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

• Midwifery or maternity care


• Ultrasound or fertility environments


• Healthcare assistant work


• Reception or clinic administration


• NHS or private healthcare settings


• Customer service roles requiring empathy and professionalism

Hours

• Flexible 4\-hour shifts


• Primarily afternoons, evenings and weekends


• Ideal for someone seeking part\-time work with flexibility
