Health Care Assistant

The successful candidates must have Fetac Level 5 in Care of the Older Person or equivalent qualification.

The role of the Healthcare Assistant incorporates the following duties: (this list is not exhaustive and may be added to if appropriate).

To assist in the personal care where appropriate.

To ensure at all times that the residents are treated with dignity, respect and loving care.

To ensure the highest possible standard of care and develop a caring relationship with each resident.

To ensure dietary requirements and fluids are maintained according to their care plan and chare are maintained.

To promote a friendly and supportive environment and extend hospitality to all who enter our centre.

To be an active advocate for the residents.

Must have good communication skills and be eligible to work in Ireland

To have a good knowledge of HIQA.

Weekly hours 36\-42 hrs weekly.
