Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be attentive to residents' needs, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in their lives. As a Health Care Assistant, you will provide essential support to residents, assist with daily activities, and contribute to creating a safe, respectful, and caring environment.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans.
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Maintain clear communication with residents, colleagues, and family members to ensure high\-quality care delivery.
- Follow care plans accurately and report any changes or concerns to senior staff promptly.
- Support the administration of medication and health monitoring under supervision.
- Help organize activities that promote residents’ mental and physical well\-being.
- Maintain cleanliness of resident areas and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Use IT systems effectively for documentation and updating resident records.
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with creating or following care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Good command of the English language for effective communication with residents and team members.
- Valid driving license is advantageous for supporting transportation needs if required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate compassionately and professionally.
Pay: £13\.50 per hour
Expected hours: 39\.0 per week
