  • Positive Attitude: A friendly, approachable, and positive manner can help residents feel comfortable, valued, and secure in their surroundings.

  • Multitasking Skills: Healthcare Assistants may be required to manage several responsibilities and support multiple residents while maintaining a consistently high standard of care.

  • Teamwork: The ability to work effectively with nurses, healthcare professionals, and other members of the care team is essential.

  • Candidates should be willing to support and encourage their colleagues. Key Responsibilities
The Healthcare Assistant will be responsible for supporting residents with their daily care needs, including:
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including eating, personal hygiene, showering, dressing, and using the toilet.

  • Using appropriate moving and handling equipment to safely assist residents when required.

  • Maintaining clean, tidy, and comfortable resident rooms and living areas.

  • Communicating with residents in a respectful and reassuring manner and providing emotional support.

  • Observing residents carefully and reporting any significant changes in their physical or emotional condition.

  • Maintaining confidentiality, dignity, respect, and professionalism at all times

  • Following all relevant care procedures, health and safety requirements, and organisational policies.
