Care Assistant – NVQ Level 3 Required

We are looking for an experienced Care Assistant with an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care to join our friendly and dedicated team.

As a Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting our residents to live with dignity, comfort and independence. You will provide person\-centred care, build positive relationships and help create a safe, welcoming and homely environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility.


• Follow individual care plans and ensure each resident receives care tailored to their needs and preferences.


• Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support.


• Encourage residents to take part in activities and maintain social interaction.


• Record care accurately and document support as it is provided.


• Report any changes in a resident’s health, behaviour or wellbeing to the Senior Care Assistant or Manager.


• Communicate professionally with residents, relatives, colleagues and healthcare professionals.


• Support residents to attend appointments or social activities when required.


• Promote residents’ dignity, independence, choice and privacy at all times.

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or an equivalent qualification.


• Previous experience working in a care home or similar care environment.


• A kind, patient and compassionate approach.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Confidence following and contributing to individual care plans.


• Good attention to detail when completing care records.


• Basic IT skills.


• The ability to work well as part of a team.


• A genuine desire to improve the lives of the people you support.


• A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
