Health Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support


• Support the implementation of personalised care plans in accordance with individual requirements


• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance wellbeing


• Help with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals


• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in condition


• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and their families to ensure coordinated care

• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a caring environment


• Strong organisational skills to manage care plans and daily routines efficiently


• Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes


• Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous


• Driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation of clients


• Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients


• Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and priorities within a caring setting
