Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high\-quality care and support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in English, and have a genuine desire to improve the wellbeing of others. A valid driving licence is desirable for those assisting with home visits. Duties

• Assist with daily personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming


• Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, ensuring safety at all times


• Help with meal preparation and feeding as required


• Maintain accurate care plans tailored to individual needs


• Monitor and record health conditions, reporting any concerns to senior staff


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients


• Assist with medication administration following prescribed guidelines


• Support clients with domestic tasks to promote independence


• Travel between care home facilities or visiting clients' homes using personal or company vehicle (driving skills preferred)


• Night Shifts and Day Shifts are available. In order to do night shifts, you will first HAVE to complete your days shifts, shadowing and your training in full.

Skills

• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written


• Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic care records and documentation


• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently when required


• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple care plans and schedules


• Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in caring for others


• Driving ability is advantageous for home care roles, facilitating client visits efficiently


• Knowledge of care home procedures and home care practices is desirable but not essential
