Northside Home Care Services (NHCS) are currently hiring Home Care Assistants who can make a difference in their community by delivering care to clients, who may not have access to homecare support during the evening and weekends.

We are recruiting enthusiastic and empathetic Home Care Assistants to start immediately in the above areas.
About the role:
As a Home Care Assistant you will deliver high quality care services carrying out a range of tasks including personal care, companionship, preparing meals and light housework. This is a rewarding role which makes a big difference in our local community.
We have evening and weekend positions available for successful candidates throughout the north Dublin area.
Ideal Candidate:
- Have a genuine desire to work with and provide care to elderly people in their homes.
- QQI Level 5 Care Skills and Care of the Elderly (or a willingness to complete the QQI training).
- Full clean driving license and access to car / own transport (or) cycle with access to their own bike.
- Be caring and kind and compassionate.
- A good communicator and be professional.
- Honest and reliable.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland is required.
- Deliver high quality care and assistance to our clients as per their Care Plan – personal care, toileting, meal preparation, moving \& transferring, prompt medication.
- Observe, listen and engage with clients.
- Be punctual and manage time effectively.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with a good level of spoken and written English.
- Communicate with NHCS any changes or concerns in relation to Client needs/care.
- Adhere to Health \& Safety regulations.
- Competitive Rates of Pay €17\.32 to €21\.29 (travel time included in hourly rates).
- Paid fortnightly.
- Higher rates paid for both Saturday and Sunday between €17\.32 to €21\.29 (travel time included in hourly rates).
- Evening hours 7pm to 10pm ranges between €18\.83 to €20\.15 (travel time included in hourly rates).
