Health Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate ,experienced and dedicated Healthcare Assistant/Live\-in Carer to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well\-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.

Duties

• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.


• Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.


• Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to Health Care professionals.


• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols.


• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.


• Utilise IT systems for documentation purposes, including updating patient records and care plans.

Requirements

• Previous experience of 2 to 3 years in a healthcare setting, particularly in home care environment, is desirable.


• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.


• Ability to work as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.


• Familiarity with IT systems for managing patient information is advantageous.


• A valid UK driving licence and access to a car is mandatory for those required to travel between locations.


• A caring attitude towards patients and a commitment to providing high\-quality care.
