Health Care Assistant

Bishopscourt Nursing Home is a vibrant forward\-thinking Nursing Home. Modern and purpose built specifically to cater to the needs of our residents.

We are currently recruiting for energetic, outgoing and caring healthcare assistants to join our team.

We are based in waterfall in Co, Cork. You must have own transport as not on a public bus route

Role and Responsibilities:

· Making a positive difference and enhancing our residents’ daily lives.

· Supporting residents with various tasks such as personal care, while maintaining a person’s dignity.

· Helping at meals times.

· Be caring, emphatic and trustworthy.

· Have a genuine interest in helping people.

· Your own transport will be required for this role.

The ideal candidate:

· Will have or be working towards a QQI level 5 in healthcare support

· Have a caring nature and have a genuine interest in working in a caring environment.

· Be willing to work as part of a team.

· Have excellent communication skills.

· Have a good knowledge of Infection, Prevention and Control.

· Knowledge of working within a healthcare setting is a bonus but not essential.

· Knowledge of HIQA standards.

· Must be flexible to work days and night shifts
