Health Care Assistant
Assist Nursing Staff in a range of care duties for residents including assisting residents in their daily activities as in the residents plan of care e.g mobility, toileting and continence, personal hygiene and grooming; social \& recreation; nutrition and hydration; pressure area care management.
Ensure a high standard of care is maintained.
Ensure care given is resident focussed.
Ensure privacy \& dignity of resident is maintained.
To establish and Maintain relationships with residents based on respect and equality and also promote residents independence.
Report any hazards/faulty equipment to Nurse in charge/Maintainence.
Assist other staff in maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Ensure good Infection Prevention and Control practices are maintained by following Beechtree's Infection Prevention and Control programme including knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control policies, undertaking all Infection Prevention and Control training and implementing in day to day work. Infection prevention control is the responsibility of all Beechtree employees
Read the Beechtree policies in Epic Care and follow the practices.
Maintain confidentiality of information.
Report to Nurse any concerns regarding the residents.
Record information relating to resident care as required.
Participate in in\-service training \& education.
Keep up to date with current practices.
