Reed Further Education are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Social Care Lecturer to join a successful Further Education provider on a full-time temporary basis based in Derbyshire

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable lecturer who can deliver engaging Health & Social Care lessons from Level 1 through to BTEC Level 3 learners.

• Hours: 37 hours per week


• Contract: Temporary


• Duration: 14 September 2026 to 18 December 2026

The Role

• Deliver Health & Social Care programmes from Level 1 to BTEC Level 3


• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that support learner achievement


• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback


• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records


• Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• A degree in a Health & Social Care related subject


• PGCE, Cert Ed, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification


• Experience teaching Health & Social Care within Further Education or a similar setting


• Strong classroom management and communication skills


• As part of the recruitment pr


• A commitment to safeguarding and student success


• An enhanced DBS on the update service

Assessment Process

shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview and complete a microteach session. The microteach topic will be an Introduction to DNA and its purpose for a Level 3 class.
