About the Company Our client is a well-established and growing organisation seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and develop its health, safety and environmental processes.

The Role As Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, maintaining robust policies and procedures, and supporting operational teams to achieve the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance.
You will play a key role in risk management, training, audits, accreditations and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities • Develop, implement and maintain Health & Safety policies, procedures and systems
- Ensure compliance with all relevant UK Health & Safety legislation and regulations
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Lead workplace inspections and audits
- Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation
- Coordinate and deliver Health & Safety training programmes
- Manage fire safety procedures, evacuation plans and emergency response processes
- Oversee the safe storage, handling and use of hazardous substances
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and preventative measures
- Liaise with insurers, auditors and external regulatory bodies
- Support the achievement and maintenance of company accreditations and certifications
- Conduct site visits and inspections where required
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote a positive safety culture throughout the business
- Previous experience in a Health & Safety management position
- Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
- Experience conducting risk assessments and managing compliance processes
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
- Full UK driving licence preferred
