About The Role
The Finance Analyst is a critical role within our finance team, providing vital financial support and insights to drive the commercial success of our organisation. This position involves detailed financial analysis, modelling, and reporting to support strategic decision\-making and ensure the financial health of our commercial operations.
As a Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting financial planning and analysis activities, identifying trends and opportunities, and contributing to the development of financial strategies that drive business growth. This position is ideal for a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for leveraging financial data to support commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support business planning and decision\-making.
- Analyse financial data and trends, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Develop financial models to project future financial performance.
- Prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and performance dashboards.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Monitor and report on budget variances, highlighting key drivers and proposing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with business units to develop accurate forecasts and budgets.
- Analyse operating expenses, identifying cost\-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Support the development and implementation of cost control measures.
- Track and report on key cost drivers.
- Maintain and update financial databases and systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Automate and streamline financial processes and reporting where possible.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Do you have a Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field?
- Do you have professional certifications (or part qual) such as ACA, ACCA are required?
- Do you have experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis (FP\&A), or a similar role.?
- Do you have experience in a finance role within the Facilities Management (FM) industry or a related sector is beneficial?
- Do you have proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills?
- Do you have familiarity with financial planning software and business intelligence tools?
- Do you have excellent analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data?
- Do you have experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis?
- Do you have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely?
- Do you have effective collaboration skills, able to work cross\-functionally with sales, marketing, and operations teams?
- Do you have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting?
- Do you have an understanding of business operations and the ability to link financial performance with business strategy?
- Do you have knowledge of the Facilities Management (FM) industry or similar sectors is advantageous?
