• Oversee the organisation's tax compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and deadlines.


• Provide expert advice on tax matters, including VAT, corporation tax, and payroll taxes.


• Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimise financial outcomes.


• Manage relationships with external tax advisors and relevant authorities.


• Ensure accurate preparation and submission of all tax returns and associated documentation.


• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organisation.


• Collaborate with internal teams to provide guidance on tax implications for various projects and initiatives.


• Lead and mentor a team to foster professional development and high performance.

Profile

A successful Head of Tax should have:

• Relevant professional qualifications in Accounting or Taxation (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA).


• Proven expertise in managing tax compliance and advisory functions.


• Strong knowledge of tax regulations, particularly in the Not For Profit sector.


• Experience in liaising with tax authorities and external advisors.


• Exceptional organisational and leadership skills.


• Proficiency in analysing and interpreting complex financial information.
