An established specialist within the Passive Fire Protection sector is looking to appoint a Head of Sales to take ownership of the commercial strategy and drive the next stage of growth.

This is a senior sales leadership position with a broad remit across business development, strategic account management, major projects, tenders and commercial planning.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the Senior Sales Team, working closely with the Head of Passive Fire Protection and wider leadership team to identify new opportunities, strengthen existing customer relationships and increase market share and profitability.

The opportunity:

As Head of Sales you will be responsible for developing and implementing a clear commercial strategy for the Passive Fire Protection sector, translating market opportunities into tangible sales growth.

This will include:

• Taking ownership of sales plans, budgets, forecasts and commercial targets


• Leading negotiations on significant projects and commercial opportunities


• Overseeing tender and bid activity, ensuring commercial terms, risk and customer requirements are fully understood


• Providing market intelligence on pricing, competitors, customer requirements and industry trends


• Working closely with internal teams to ensure a coordinated approach to key customers and opportunities


• Leading major projects and the introduction of new services or commercial offerings


• Using existing market knowledge, customer relationships and company capabilities to maximise commercial opportunities


• Taking responsibility for relevant sales reporting, management information and commercial performance

This role would suit an experienced sales leader or commercial professional with strong knowledge of Passive Fire Protection and the wider construction sector.

You will need to demonstrate:

• A strong track record of sales growth and business development


• Strong knowledge of the Passive Fire Protection market, or similar


• Experience working with major projects, tenders and complex commercial negotiations


• Commercial awareness with the ability to understand profitability, pricing and commercial risk


• Confidence presenting sales plans, forecasts and market opportunities to senior leadership


• A proactive approach to identifying and converting new business opportunities
