ENB are supporting a charity who are seeking an experienced and compassionate Head of Resident Services, to join them in a new role created to lead the delivery of resident welfare, housing management and community engagement across their communities.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, this is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping and delivering the Charity's welfare and community strategy, leading a dedicated team of Scheme Managers and ensuring residents enjoy a safe, supportive and fulfilling environment in which to live independently.

About the Role
As Head of Resident Services, your role will be to provide leadership across their estates, overseeing the resident journey from application through to departure and championing initiatives that promote wellbeing, inclusion and community participation.
You will work closely with the Chief Executive, Trustees, residents, external agencies, and partner organisations to ensure the highest standards of resident support, safeguarding, housing managementand community engagement.
Key responsibilities day to day:
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of Scheme Managers across multiple scheme locations
- Manage staffing rotas, holiday cover and out of hours arrangements.
- Monitor performance, compliance, resident support standards and operational effectiveness.
- Support the development and implementation of the Charity's welfare and community strategy.
- Act as a senior point of contact for complex resident welfare and safeguarding matters.
- Work collaboratively with health, social care and statutory agencies to support resident wellbeing.
- Lead initiatives that reduce social isolation and encourage community participation.
- Oversee a varied programme of resident activities, events and community celebrations.
- Manage resident communications, newsletters, forums and engagement initiatives.
- Oversee the end to end resident process, including applications, assessments, allocations, move-ins and departures.
- Support residents with housing-related matters, benefits, utilities and access to external services.
- Oversee resident welfare reporting and policy compliance.
- Support the review and development of welfare, safeguarding and housing management policies.
- Support the administration and development of the Charity's grant funding programmes.
- Build and maintain relationships with local organisations and community partners.
We're looking for an experienced leader, somebody who is passionate about supporting elderly people and building strong communities.
You could be somebody who has worked within a care home setting, housing setting, directly with residents or tenants from afar.
You will need:
- Experience within sheltered housing, supported housing, social care, or a similar resident focused environment
- Experience managing and developing teams
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable adults and partnership working with statutory agencies
- Understanding of adult social care systems, welfare benefits and housing support services
- Excellent communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- A genuine commitment to helping older people live independently, safely and with dignity
- Enhanced DBS check will be required.
- Occasional out of hours working may be required only in emergency situations.
