Head of R&D - Fabrication

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:

• Head of R\&D \- Fabrication


• Located primarily in Breda, with head office Schiedam

The R\&D\-Fabrication team makes it possible for Mammoet to keep a leading position with an unparalleled fleet of equipment and realize innovative projects. The Head R\&D\-Fabrication leads and manages a department of 25\-30 team members, capable to deliver new equipment turnkey and support Mammoet with fabrication capabilities.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Managing the organization and process of R\&D\-Fabrication.


• Leading the R\&D Fabrication\-team of 5 \- 7 direct reports, with a total team of 25 \- 30 colleagues.


• As a Global Process Owner of Fabrication you will set and control the standards for Fabrication and Product Development worldwide.


• Provide budget estimates to Sales and Asset Owners for new equipment developments and fabrication items.


• Act as a sparring partner for sales managers, project managers and asset owners worldwide.


• Setting up the Project Teams. Assign, based on skill level and availability, the right person for the right job.


• Ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and effectively.


• Coordinating and support sub\-contracting (engineering, drive and control, fabrication).


• Coordinating between departments: Sales, Operations, Assets, Maintenance.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Management of Technology, Mechanical Engineering or similar.


• 5\+ years leadership experience, managing multidisciplinary engineering and fabrication teams.


• Experience in the Heavylift and Transport branche is preferred.


• Experience with budgeting, cost estimation, resource planning, and project scheduling.


• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.


• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.


• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.


• Maintaining a helicopter view, strategic thinking and a pro\-active attitude
