Head of Product Engineering Sensors & Meters 100%

Lead the global Product Engineering function for Sensors \& Meters, owning all technical aspects across the full product lifecycle, which is jointly led with Product Management. In this senior leadership role, you will shape scalable product platforms, steer innovation, and drive engineering excellence in close partnership with cross\-functional teams worldwide.

What You'll Do
------------------

• Own the global Sensors \& Meters product portfolio from the technical perspective, ensuring performance, quality, and scalability across the full product lifecycle


• Lead, develop, and inspire a global engineering organization, including product owners and team leaders


• Co\-lead the business line with Product Management, translating strategy into a competitive and future\-ready product portfolio


• Define and manage the R\&D project portfolio, including roadmap prioritization, resource allocation, and budget ownership


• Drive product lifecycle excellence—from ideation to development, launch, optimization, and phase\-out


• Ensure engineering excellence across disciplines (mechanical, electrical, embedded software, digital), with a focus on modular product architectures and platform strategies


• Oversee product design quality and manage technical risk, including the quality case portfolio


• Improve processes, governance, and tools across product development and portfolio management

• MSc or PhD in Engineering (e.g., physics, electrical or a related field); business education is a plus


• Solid background in product development or lifecycle management for sensors or physical measurement products


• Experience in disciplinary team leadership


• Proven track record in owning and scaling complex product portfolios in a global, matrix environment


• Strong expertise in systems engineering, modular architectures, and platform\-based product development including solid understanding of sensors or meters (HVAC or industrial applications is an advantage)


• Experience managing R\&D budgets, roadmaps, and cross\-functional project portfolios


• Compelling influencing skills, with the ability to drive change and align diverse stakeholders across multicultural teams


• Fluent in English; German is a plus
