HEAD OF HR

36 hours per week

£57,998 \- £66,705 per annum (Pay Award pending)

Hybrid, with regular travel to services (Sefton, Merseyside)

New Directions is a values\-driven Local Authority Trading Company, established by Sefton Council in 2007\. As a leading provider of Adult Social Care services across Sefton, we support over 1,000 individuals each year through a dedicated workforce of more than 350 staff. We provide services to people with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, dementia, and age\-related conditions, with a strong emphasis on person\-centred care.

We are seeking an experienced and forward\-thinking HR professional to play a pivotal role in shaping our future. Working closely with the Head of Operations and Head of Learning and Development, you will help drive our ambition to become a true learning organisation \- one that continuously evolves, innovates, and delivers outstanding outcomes.

Our workforce development plan, co\-produced with over 40 colleagues, sets a clear direction for achieving our strategic goals: becoming both the provider and employer of choice, and establishing New Directions as the ‘Trusted Provider’ for Sefton Council.

This is a unique opportunity to influence and develop local service provision. You will work in partnership with health and social care organisations, service users, carers, and other stakeholders to enhance and transform services across the region.

As Head of HR, you will:

· Lead all people management strategies, processes, and practices across the organisation

· Translate policy into effective workforce planning and operational delivery

· Partner with Service Managers to ensure teams are equipped to meet both current and future demands

· Drive key organisational projects to improve efficiency and demonstrate value to commissioners

· Foster a culture of engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement
