Head of Group Accounting & Reporting
<p>The Head of Group Accounting and Reporting is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of Optiver’s consolidated financial reporting.</p>
<p>The role sits within Group Finance, reporting to the Global Lead of Finance, and operates in a high-performance environment requiring strong technical judgement, clear ownership, extensive experience in the financial services industry, and the ability to translate complex accounting matters into practical outcomes.</p>
<p><strong>What you'll do </strong></p>

<li data-section-id="4xb3s2" data-start="1181" data-end="1342">Be accountable for Group-wide financial reporting compliance, ensuring the integrity of consolidated financial statements and alignment with IFRS requirements.</li>
<li data-section-id="1ox8dvp" data-start="1343" data-end="1463">Own the Group technical accounting framework, setting policy and ensuring consistent application across jurisdictions.</li>
<li data-section-id="2ciqg4" data-start="1464" data-end="1623">Partner with Finance, Risk, Legal, and business leadership to assess new standards and complex transactions, and provide clear technical accounting guidance.</li>
<li data-section-id="7np16p" data-start="1624" data-end="1788">Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including the annual report and interim reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies.</li>
<li data-section-id="1fzd13g" data-start="1789" data-end="1963">Be accountable for the Group month-end and quarter-end close processes, maintaining a high-quality, controlled reporting environment and driving consistency across regions.</li>
<li data-section-id="fi6wpa" data-start="1964" data-end="2144">Own the external audit relationship, acting as the primary point of contact, leading the Group audit process, aligning on technical positions, and resolving issues pragmatically.</li>
<li data-section-id="fi6wpa" data-start="1964" data-end="2144">Represent Finance at Audit Committee meetings, clearly articulating key accounting matters and judgements.</li>
<li data-section-id="fi6wpa" data-start="1964" data-end="2144">Co-lead Finance Transformation initiatives at Group level, driving the modernization of finance processes, controls, and automation, including AI. </li>
<li data-section-id="fi6wpa" data-start="1964" data-end="2144">Oversee regulatory reporting for Optiver Holding B.V., ensuring compliance and alignment with Group reporting requirements.</li>
<li data-section-id="fi6wpa" data-start="1964" data-end="2144">Lead and develop the Group Accounting and Reporting team, fostering ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.</li>

<p><strong>Who you are</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>15+ years</strong> of progressive experience in technical accounting, financial reporting, accounting advisory, or controllership within financial services or other complex international environments.</li>
<li>Someone with deep expertise in IFRS and strong technical accounting capability across financial instruments and fair value measurement. </li>
<li>Strong analytical skills and judgement, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and balance technical rigor with pragmatic decision-making.</li>
<li>Proven experience leading teams and managing senior stakeholders, including external auditors.</li>
<li>Professional accounting qualification required.</li>
<li>Robust experience in the Financial Services industry is a must</li>
<li>Team spirit and strong ability to work in a globally set up organization with dispersed teams residing around the world</li>
