As the Head of Finance, based in Witham, you'll oversee the financial operations of a not-for-profit organisation, ensuring smooth day-to-day management of budgets, reporting, and compliance. Description

• Oversee the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.


• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards.


• Provide strategic financial advice to support decision-making processes.


• Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring effective performance and professional growth.


• Monitor cash flow and ensure effective financial risk management.


• Prepare detailed financial reports for stakeholders and trustees.


• Lead financial audits and liaise with external auditors.

A successful Head of Finance should have:

• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.


• Strong experience in financial management within a not-for-profit organisation or similar sector.


• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.


• Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.


• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.


• Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.


• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

• Competitive salary ranging from £70,000 to £75,000, dependent on the level of experience.
