ENB are partnering with a client in Norwich who are recruiting for a Head of Finance to join their team on a part time basis.
They are looking for an experienced, commercially minded professional to join a growing and ambitious business at an important stage of their development.
This role will be most suited to somebody who enjoys working closely with senior leadership team, understanding the wider business and using financial information to influence commercial decision making.
About the Role
Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider senior leadership team, as the Head of Finance you will provide strong financial leadership and commercial support across the business.
Existing financial processes and controls are already in place, but there is a requirement to review, improve and ensure they are more robust for continued growth.
A key focus of the role will be forecasting, budgeting and financial planning & ensuring accurate, timely and meaningful financial information is accessible to support both short term operational decisions and longer-term strategic planning.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Finance Manager and senior leadership team with the financial management of the business.
- Provide meaningful financial analysis and commercial insight to support.
- Support management accounts and ensuring financial information is accurate, timely and commercially useful.
- Work alongside the Finance Manager and external tax accountants.
- Provide financial guidance and support to non finance colleagues across the business, through its planned transition from an LLP to an incorporated company.
- Identify financial risks, opportunities and areas for improved profitability and efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with wider areas of the business to improve performance and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the wider business projects and initiatives where your commercial and financial expertise can add value.
- Support the development and capability of the finance team.
Skills and experience required
- CIMA / ACCA qualified with proven technical finance capabilities
- Experience of working within a growing SME or entrepreneurial environment where you have supported a business through a scaling process.
- Strong experience of budgeting and forecasting and the ability to analyse financial information and turn it into meaningful commercial insight.
- Experience improving finance processes, controls and reporting.
- A hands on, collaborative, proactive approach.
