Head of Accounts

Based here at the Ironworks, on a 90 acre Shropshire site consisting of an extensive Sculpture Park, Retail, Cafe and Restaurant, Workshops, Offices and Distribution Centre.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing full day\-to\-day financial operations, including purchase and sales ledger activities within Xero


• Overseeing invoice processing, payments, and journals to ensure accuracy and timeliness


• Preparing and reviewing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepanciesLiaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve billing, payment, and account queries


• Supporting month\-end and year\-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations


• Managing accurate financial records in line with accounting standards and internal controls.


• Overseeing all financial reporting, analysis, and ad hoc finance projects


• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and efficiencies


• Providing guidance and oversight for the finance team

• Proven experience in a senior or similar accounting role


• Strong working knowledge of Xero or similar accounting software


• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial controls


• High level of accuracy and attention to detail


• Strong organisational and time management skills


• Confidence liaising with suppliers, colleagues, and senior management


• A proactive and professional approach, with the ability to work independently

Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 17:30pm

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000\.00\-£60,000\.00 per year
