Head Chef/Kitchen Manager
We are looking for Head Chef / Kitchen Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for managing all back\-of\-house operations and ensuring the preparation and presentation of dishes meet the restaurant's high standards. You will work closely with ownership and senior management, leading the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.

- 5\+ Years of Senior Leadership: Proven experience managing high\-volume, structured kitchens as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
- Japanese Culinary Expertise: A strong background and deep understanding of Japanese cuisine, ingredients, and techniques.
- Menu Development \& Creativity: The ability to design, engineer, and execute innovative dishes that align with Oita Soho’s high standards.
- People\-First Leadership: Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to motivate, train, and build a positive, collaborative kitchen culture.
- Impeccable Standards: An absolute commitment to cleanliness, organization, and strict compliance with food safety and HACCP protocols.
- Culinary \& Quality Management: Direct menu development and execution to align with brand standards, ensuring strict quality control and consistent dish presentation.
- Financial \& Operational Oversight: Manage back\-of\-house budgets, optimize labor costs, control food waste.
- Inventory \& Supply Chain: Oversee stock control, and supplier relations
- Compliance \& Safety: Enforce food safety legislation, HACCP protocols, and occupational health standards, maintaining impeccable kitchen hygiene and documentation.
- Team Leadership \& HR: Oversee the recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance of all kitchen personnel to foster skill development and staff retention.
