ABOUT US

The Irish Institute of Music \& Song is one of Ireland’s leading music education organisations, teaching hundreds of students each week across instrumental tuition, early years music, choirs and ensembles. We run a busy programme of concerts, festivals, camps and community projects across Fingal.

Alongside our teaching work we deliver group retreats, corporate programmes and a growing set of community and business partnerships. This role exists to build that side of the organisation.

THE ROLE

This is a commercial role with the chance to make an enormous difference in the world of music education in Ireland. You will own our earned income from groups, corporates and partnerships — looking after the clients we already have, and bringing new organisations into contact with IIMS.

We have an established group retreats programme, a loyal set of corporate clients and an excellent reputation across Fingal and beyond. We are now looking to expand how we do all of it, and this role will lead that work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESGROUP RETREATS AND GROUP BOOKINGS

  • Manage and grow our group retreats programme \- the largest earned income stream in your remit.

  • Manage relationships with our current clients, including corporate, schools and community organisations.

  • Develop new group offerings for community organisations, choirs and visiting ensembles.

  • Build repeat business \- retreats and bookings that return year on year are the foundation of this role.
CORPORATE RETREATS AND PARTNERSHIPS
  • Develop and sell a corporate retreat offering to businesses seeking team development and away days with a creative core.

  • Build relationships with HR, wellbeing and culture leads across the North Dublin business community, including through Fingal Chamber and similar networks.

  • Look after existing corporate clients and grow the value of those relationships over time.
SCHOOLS, THIRD LEVEL AND CPD
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools and third\-level institutions.

  • Sell continuing professional development courses to teachers and music educators.
SPONSORSHIP AND PARTNERSHIPS
  • Secure and steward corporate sponsors for our concerts, festivals and community programmes.

  • Develop partnership opportunities that support our funded work.
VENUE AND STUDIO PARTNERSHIPS
  • Maximise use of our teaching studios, rehearsal spaces and equipment through rental partnerships.
PLANNING, PIPELINE AND REPORTING
  • Work alongside Marketing and department heads to set target goals and agree how they will be met.

  • Own a clear sales pipeline in our CRM, kept current and visible to the wider team.

  • Report regularly on activity and forecast, and contribute your figures to monthly management reporting.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN YEAR ONE
  • Group retreats income maintained and grown, with strong repeat business.

  • New corporate relationships established and converted into bookings.

  • Corporate sponsorship income increased.

  • Agreed target goals in place with Marketing and department heads, and tracked against.

  • A working pipeline that gives the organisation visibility of income months ahead.
ABOUT YOUESSENTIAL
  • Confident working in a CRM. We currently use Monday, and experience of any equivalent system is welcome — this sits at the centre of how the role operates.

  • Demonstrable experience in B2B sales, business development or partnerships, ideally selling services.

  • A track record of building a pipeline from a standing start and converting it.

  • Comfortable owning a revenue target and reporting against it honestly.

  • An excellent relationship builder \- this is consultative, long\-cycle selling built on trust.

  • An interest in music education and its value to young people and communities.

  • Full clean driving licence and access to a car for client visits.

  • Right to work in Ireland.
DESIRABLE
  • Experience selling into HR, wellbeing or learning and development budgets.
