We are currently seeking to recruit a Group Operations Manager with responsibility for managing and regularly visiting all four locations (Banbury, Redditch, Stokenchurch \& Atcham)
Hours: Monday\- Thursday 08:30am\-17:00pm, Fridays 08:30am\-15:30pm
Purpose:
The Group Operations Manager is responsible for the effective leadership, control and continuous improvement of Warehouse and Sub‑Assembly operations across all Group sites, ensuring safe, compliant and cost‑effective delivery in line with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide senior leadership across all Warehouse and Sub‑Assembly operations.
- Ensure consistent application of operational standards, policies and procedures across sites.
- Deliver operational performance against agreed KPIs including service, productivity, accuracy and cost.
- Lead labour planning, resource utilisation and capacity management.
- Manage and develop operational management teams, setting clear objectives and accountability.
- Ensure full compliance with Health \& Safety legislation, audits and internal governance requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support operational change programmes.
- Act as a senior escalation point for operational issues.
- Lead, coach and develop Warehouse and Sub‑Assembly Managers and Team Leaders.
- Manage performance, attendance, conduct and capability in line with company policy.
- Build succession plans and strengthen operational capability across sites.
- Ownership of operational budgets for Warehouse and Sub‑Assembly functions.
- Control labour costs including overtime and agency usage.
- Support stock value control and margin protection through effective operational management.
- Promote and embed a strong health and safety culture across all operational areas.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards and internal policies.
- Support audits, inspections and corrective action implementation.
- Authority to make day‑to‑day operational decisions across Warehouse and Sub‑Assembly functions.
- Budget accountability within agreed limits.
- Authority to implement approved process, structure and resource changes.
- Have multi\-site management experience (essential)
- Demonstrate strong organizational capability
- Be an effective and confident leader with excellent communication skills
- Have a proven track record in improving productivity, using operational data and KPIS
- Be analytical and solutions focused, able to interpret data to inform decisions
- Have a strong understanding of Health \& Safety practices within an operational environment
- Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Pay: £45,000\.00\-£60,000\.00 per year
