A globally recognised, Private Equity-backed recruitment group is seeking a technically strong Group Accountant to join its expanding finance function in London.
Operating across 26 brands, with 24 global offices and coverage in over 70 countries, the business is consistently recognised within the Recruiter Hot 100 for growth, innovation, and market-leading performance. The organisation is also investing heavily in AI and technology to remain at the forefront of the evolving recruitment industry.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a first-time mover from practice who is looking to utilise their technical accounting expertise within a fast-paced, commercially evolving international environment.
The Opportunity
Working closely with senior finance leadership, you will play a key role across Group reporting, audit, consolidation, balance sheet integrity, and monthly management accounting processes.
The role offers broad exposure across an international group structure and would suit an ambitious qualified accountant seeking a progressive move into industry with strong long-term development potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of consolidated Group financial statements and subsidiary accounts
- Managing consolidation journals, eliminations, and supporting schedules
- Supporting monthly management accounts and Group reporting activities
- Delivering detailed variance analysis and financial commentary
- Coordinating external audit processes and managing audit deliverables
- Preparing reconciliations, audit schedules, and supporting documentation
- Ensuring integrity and control of balance sheets across the Group
- Reviewing and resolving intercompany balances and reconciliations
- Supporting VAT and wider tax compliance activities
- Driving improvements across financial controls, reporting, and processes
- Supporting finance transformation and systems enhancement initiatives
- Working with finance systems and reporting tools to improve automation and reporting quality
- ACA / ACCA qualified accountant
- Likely to be making your first move from practice into industry
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
- Experience supporting audit and statutory reporting processes
- Strong understanding of consolidations and balance sheet control
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders
- Experience with Group structures or international businesses would be advantageous
