Location: Greenwich, London

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About EcoScent

EcoScent is a growing scent marketing and fragrance company working with businesses across hospitality, retail, property, leisure and commercial environments.

We provide scent marketing systems, fragrance solutions and branded products to clients across the UK and internationally.

As the business continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team and help develop how the EcoScent brand is presented across digital, print, product and physical environments.

The Role

This is a hands\-on creative role for an experienced designer who can take ownership of projects from initial brief through to final delivery.

We’re looking for someone who can work independently when required, use their own judgement and bring forward strong creative ideas rather than needing every element of a project specified.

At the same time, you’ll be part of a collaborative Marketing team and will work closely with colleagues across Sales, Operations and the wider business.

You should be comfortable balancing creativity with commercial objectives, managing several projects at once and taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your finished work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high\-quality design and visual content across EcoScent’s digital and physical marketing channels.

  • Design brochures, presentations, case studies, sales materials, advertising and other marketing collateral.

  • Create engaging assets for social media, digital campaigns and our websites.

  • Develop and maintain creative and product assets across our Shopify stores.

  • Design email campaigns and templates within Mailchimp and Klaviyo.

  • Create artwork for packaging, labels, private\-label products and other branded materials.

  • Support exhibitions, events and showroom projects including stand graphics, signage, displays and supporting collateral.

  • Take briefs from initial concept through to final execution, developing creative solutions independently where appropriate.

  • Proactively bring forward new concepts and ideas to improve EcoScent’s visual communication and brand presence.

  • Work with the Marketing team to develop campaigns and creative concepts rather than simply executing finished briefs.

  • Prepare accurate, production\-ready artwork for printers, manufacturers and other external suppliers.

  • Liaise with suppliers where required to ensure finished materials are produced correctly and to the expected standard.

  • Manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines effectively.

  • Maintain consistency across the EcoScent brand and work within our Brand Guidelines.

  • Contribute to the ongoing development and evolution of the EcoScent visual identity.

  • Review and proof your own work carefully before submission, taking responsibility for accuracy, consistency and quality.
What We’re Looking For

You will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ commercial graphic design experience, ideally within a marketing, brand, agency, retail, hospitality, luxury lifestyle or e\-commerce environment.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating high\-quality commercial work across both digital and print.

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.

  • Experience working with established brands and brand guidelines.

  • The confidence and experience to take ownership of projects with limited supervision.

  • The ability to take an open brief, understand the objective and develop an appropriate creative direction.

  • Strong creative judgement and the confidence to bring forward your own ideas and recommendations.

  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly around typography, layout, branding and production artwork.

  • Strong organisational and time\-management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.

  • Commercial awareness and an understanding that effective design needs to achieve a business objective as well as look good.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain the thinking behind your work.

  • The confidence to receive feedback constructively and challenge ideas appropriately when you believe there is a better creative solution.

  • The ability to work effectively independently while also being a positive and collaborative member of a wider team.
Experience with Shopify and Mailchimp and Klaviyo is highly desirable.

Experience in packaging, product design, exhibitions, photography, video or producing creative work for premium, luxury, hospitality or lifestyle brands would also be advantageous.

Our Culture

EcoScent is a fast\-moving and growing business where people are trusted to take ownership of their work.

We value people who communicate clearly, follow things through and look for solutions rather than waiting to be told every next step. For this role in particular, we want someone who is genuinely interested in the EcoScent brand and will contribute ideas about how we can continually improve it.

Collaboration is equally important. You’ll need to work positively with colleagues, listen to different perspectives and be comfortable developing ideas as part of a team.

What Success Looks Like

Within this role, success means:

  • Producing consistently high\-quality creative work across digital and print.

  • Taking ownership of projects and progressing them without requiring constant direction.

  • Bringing forward strong creative ideas and recommendations.

  • Understanding the objective behind a brief rather than simply completing the requested artwork.

  • Delivering work accurately and on time.

  • Maintaining strong brand consistency across all channels.

  • Managing competing priorities effectively and communicating early where there are potential issues or delays.

  • Building strong working relationships across Marketing and the wider EcoScent team.

  • Helping improve the quality and consistency of EcoScent’s overall brand presentation.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary dependent on experience together with a range of employee benefits, including:

  • 20 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays

  • An additional day of annual leave for each completed year of service

  • An additional day off during your birthday month, following successful completion of probation

  • One wellbeing day per year, following successful completion of probation

  • Private healthcare, following successful completion of probation

  • Gym membership, following successful completion of probation

  • Company pension

  • Employee Assistance Programme

  • Christmas and New Year office closure

  • Ongoing professional development and opportunities to grow with the business
Working Arrangements

This is a full\-time role based primarily from our Greenwich office.

The role works closely with the wider Marketing team and other departments, so regular office presence is an important part of the position.

There may occasionally be a requirement to attend exhibitions, events, photoshoots, client locations or other EcoScent activities.

Application Process

Please apply with your CV and a portfolio or link to your portfolio demonstrating relevant commercial design work.

We are particularly interested in seeing examples of projects where you have contributed to or taken ownership of the creative direction, rather than solely executing an existing design.

Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Shortlisted applicants may be asked to complete a short video introduction and/or practical design exercise as part of the recruitment process.
