We are currently seeking a motivated Graduate Software Engineer to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for someone at the early stages of their career who wants to build on their academic foundation while gaining hands\-on experience working on real\-world systems and projects.
You will work alongside experienced engineers to design, develop and support high\-quality software solutions that underpin our operations and future growth.
At the end of your 2\-year Graduate Programme, you will have gained: International work experience, a qualification reliant to your field, fully trained in\-house auditor and 2\-years work experience. The successful candidate must be available to relocate to a sister company for a period of 6 months should the opportunity present itself. This position is ideally an immediate start. The successful candidate will be based at Head Office in Killarney, Co. Kerry, reporting directly to the IT Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, development and testing of software applications
- Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements
- Write clean, maintainable and efficient code under guidance from senior developers
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging applications
- Contribute to improving application performance, quality and reliability
- Participate in code reviews and team discussions to support continuous learning
- Support documentation and best practice development
- Undertake any other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java (experience with Spring Boot is an advantage)
- Basic understanding of databases (e.g. SQL, PL/SQL)
- Familiarity with tools or concepts such as Docker, Azure or Linux is desirable
- Awareness of CI/CD pipelines is an advantage
- Strong problem\-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Highly motivated with a willingness to learn and develop
