Graduate /Mid/ Senior Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

We are looking for a hands\-on Electronics / Hardware Engineer to design and develop microcontroller and application processor\-based embedded systems. This role sits at the hardware–software boundary, involving board\-level design, firmware development, and Linux bring\-up.

What you’ll do:

• Design and develop analogue/digital circuits and PCB layouts


• Perform board bring\-up, debugging, and prototype validation


• Integrate hardware with firmware and embedded Linux systems


• Collaborate across teams throughout the full product lifecycle


• Support EMC compliance, testing, and production readiness

What we’re looking for:

• 5\+ years electronics/hardware engineering experience. However, exceptional recent graduates with strong academic performance, internships, or project experience will also be considered.


• Experience with microcontrollers (ARM Cortex\-M, STM32, PIC) and application processors (ARM Cortex\-A or similar)


• Strong hardware debugging and lab skills (oscilloscope, logic analyser, etc.)


• Knowledge of SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, and high\-speed interfaces


• Experience with embedded firmware and Linux bring\-up


• An engineer who focuses on outcomes and delivers at pace


• Strong judgement in balancing speed, quality, and maintainability


• Ability to prioritise high\-impact work and avoid low\-value tasks


• Practical, solution\-oriented mindset

Nice to have:

• x86 systems (Intel/AMD) experience


• Mains voltage / SMPS design experience


• Wireless technologies (Wi\-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, LoRa)


• Manufacturing or production test experience

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £55,000\.00 per year
