Graduate Mechanical Engineer

HCS are recruiting for a Graduate Engineer within the Engineering Department. The successful candidate will become an integral member of the team assisting with the design, assembly and testing of bespoke equipment. Each project offers a new set of challenges across multiple disciplines (mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic) that provides a unique learning opportunity.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop engineering calculation packages to validate designs using hand calculations and FEA software


• Assist with the selection of components (pumps/motors/gearboxes etc) and validate selections calculations


• Generate 3D models and 2D fabrication, manufacture/assembly drawings


• Participate in design reviews with internal and external parties to compliance with client specifications and industry standards


• Generate test procedures and operation manuals for equipment

• BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent


• Desire to learn


• Self\-motivated problem solver


• Ability to interpret technical drawings

• Knowledge of drawings and FEA packages (solidWorks, ANSYS, AutoCAD)


• Ability to read technical drawings


• Work experience in a technical role (preferred but not essential)
