GP Receptionist

Yewtree Medical Centre (Liverpool First Primary Care Network) is based in Knotty Ash in a purpose built building and with the large multi purpose reception area where the candidate will be based.

We are recruiting an all rounder experienced GP Receptionist to join our friendly practice delivering front line patient care either on the phone or in person. The job role involves:

• Taking incoming phone calls in a high volume patient driven environment


• Booking appointments correctly on Emis and signposting to other services


• Inputting prescriptions accurately \& requesting bloods


• Chasing daily DNAs up \& doing tasks


• Registrations


• Coding

The ideal successful candidate will enjoy meeting and representing the practice in an empathic and professional manner.

Essential Requirements are:

Minimum of 1 years experience in a GP practice:

• a working knowledge of Emis, Choose \& Book, Accurx \& NHS Mail


• English, Maths \& ICT GSCE at Grade 5 or above

Working hours are Monday\-Friday 8am/6\.30pm and flexibility is essential. Saturday working an option. Candidates who cannot commit to these hours may not apply.

The position is subject to a clear new DBS (paid by candidate) and 2 satisfactory job employer references.

Job Types: Part Time, Permanent

Salary: £12\.72/£13 per hour based on experience

Pay: £13\.00 per hour
