GP Practice Medical Receptionist/Secretary

MMM Clinic is a busy general practice based in Mount Merrion, Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

Our team consists of three doctors along with a multidisciplinary team.

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced part\-time medical receptionist / secretary.

Requirements:

• Previous GP Practice Reception experience or experience in a similar role is essential


• Experience of using medical computer software systems (Socrates) is desirable along with the capability to adapt to new systems


• A reliable individual with a strong understanding of the importance of time\-keeping and confidentiality.


• A motivated individual who has the ability to work on their own initiative but equally as part of a team.


• Excellent telephone manner, communication and interpersonal skills required


• Excellent organisational skills


• The ability to manage patient needs \& expectations in a fast\-paced environment


• Ability to multi\-task and prioritise

• Reception duties \- phones, meet and greet patients / visitors of practice


• Scheduling appointments


• Dealing with patient queries face to face and all telephone queries including orders for prescriptions, social welfare certificates, medical card enquiries etc


• Responsible for taking all payments coming into the practice, cashing up and balancing books

• Only persons with medical reception/administration experience in similar role need apply


• Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a busy fast\-paced environment


• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail required

• € 17 \- 18 \- (depending upon experience and qualifications)


• Part\-time – 2 days per week, Thurs \& Fri (17 hrs) and covering for annual leave for other admin staff
