Interim Primary Care Network (PCN) Manager
Location: Farnham (onsite/hybrid)
Rate: £300 – £400 per day (DOE)
Contract: Interim – 3 months initially (with potential extension or opportunity to go permanent)
Working Pattern: Full-time preferred, but a minimum of 3 days per week will be considered
Overview
We are supporting a Primary Care Network seeking an experienced Interim PCN Manager to provide operational leadership and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of services.
This is a hands-on role focused on delivery, coordination and operational performance, rather than strategy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operational management of the PCN
- Ensure services are delivered effectively across member practices
- Manage workflows, capacity and resource allocation to maintain service efficiency
- Support practice teams with operational challenges and problem-solving
- Monitor performance, activity and key deliverables against agreed targets
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (clinical and non-clinical staff)
- Ensure compliance with relevant NHS and governance requirements
- Work closely with GP leads and key stakeholders to maintain service continuity
- Identify and implement improvements to operational processes where needed

- PCN Managers
- GP Practice Managers
- Experienced Healthcare/Primary Care Operations Managers
- Strong experience in primary care or NHS service delivery
- Proven ability to manage daily operations in a healthcare setting
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confidence working across multiple stakeholders and practices
- Ability to quickly adapt and add value in an interim capacity
- Competitive day rate of £300 – £400 per day
- Flexible working pattern (3–5 days per week)
