Governance Assistant

Our work includes the provision of tailored housing and tenancy support, expert property development for specialist accommodation, and structured recovery programmes for individuals overcoming addiction and mental health challenges. We also offer support for Polish women and children escaping domestic abuse and deliver high\-quality care services.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a proactive and highly organised Governance Assistant to join our team as an essential part of our governance function at Chrysalis Group with the role offering a unique opportunity to gain exposure to our senior leadership and formal decision\-making processes within a professional environment.
Reporting to the Group Company Secretary, your main responsibilities will be to manage the corporate calendar, arrange board, general and committee meetings, collate and distribute agendas and papers as well as ensuring all filings are completed on time. You will maintain our governance policies and statutory registers within our Quality Management system, review contracts received as well as drafting basic legal documents under the guidance of the Company Secretary.
You will lead on Data Protection for the Group and will also assist the Company Secretary with ad hoc governance activities such as filing trademarks.
The successful candidate will have an interest in the legal and regulatory operations of companies and other organisations within a group structure and wish to progress a career in these areas.
You must have strong administrative and organisational skills with a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail to support our Board, Committees, and subsidiary companies. Additionally, you will demonstrate exceptional communication skills ,handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
