Goods Inward Warehouse Operative
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our friendly warehouse team, based in Cold Norton, near Maldon, Essex, as a Goods\-In Warehouse Operative.
The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and alongside others. Applicant must be physically fit and computer literate.
Key responsibilities
\- To ensure safe and efficient receipt, storage and despatch of goods
\- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
\- Preparing and completing customer orders within agreed timescales
\- Performing warehouse inventory controls and ensuring high quality standards
\- Loading and unloading goods onto/from delivery vehicles
\- Carry out stock takes as and when required
\- Pick, pack, label and despatch
\- Replenish shelves within the pick area from the bulk area
\- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised warehouse
Experience and Skills:
\- To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
\- Ability to move products which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting in line with H\&S regulations
\- Medium degree of accuracy, numeracy and literacy with excellent attention to detail.
\- Experience in warehouse or logistics environment with previous Goods\-In experience preferred but not essential.
Hours of work:
\- This is a permanent position (40 hours a week)
\- Hours / Days are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm. (1 hour lunch / Time slot tbc )
Salary: Meets National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage (for those 21 \& over) Where the rate is above National Living Wage it will be dependent on the applicants experience \& discussed at interview.
