About the Job

We provide a range of programmes and interventions that harness the power of rugby to break down barriers and positively change people’s lives. The Events and Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in achieving this mission by leading on the delivery of impactful fundraising campaigns, and organising exceptional events that engage supporters and raise vital funds.

You will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive fundraising and events plan, building strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners, and ensuring that our events reflect the values and aspirations of the Foundation. You will also lead and inspire a passionate team to implement innovative fundraising activities that sustain and expand our programmes.

Their key job accountabilities will be:

The successful candidate will:

  • Achieve agreed income targets through diverse fundraising channels such as corporate sponsorships, grants, individual giving, and events.

  • Build a sustainable donor pipeline and increase regular giving opportunities.

  • Manage, and execute an annual calendar of fundraising events, ensuring they are engaging, innovative, and aligned with the Foundation's values.

  • Deliver flagship events that drive significant income, enhance the Foundation’s profile, and engage key stakeholders.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, sponsors, high\-net\-worth individuals, and other key stakeholders.

  • Work closely with Gloucester Rugby to leverage the club’s network and brand for fundraising opportunities.

  • Deliver measurable income growth, with clear targets set for different streams (events, sponsorships, donations, etc.).

  • Provide regular performance and financial reports to the senior leadership team and trustees.

  • Develop creative fundraising campaigns to attract new donors and retain existing supporters.

  • Enhance donor stewardship processes to ensure long\-term engagement and loyalty.

  • Lead and inspire the fundraising and events team to deliver results, ensuring clarity of roles and effective collaboration.

  • Recruit, train, and develop team members to maximise their potential.

  • Work closely with programme delivery teams to ensure alignment between fundraising efforts and the impact of the Foundation’s work.

Qualifications, Experience \& Knowledge

Essential

  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding income generation targets through diverse fundraising channels, including events, grants, corporate sponsorships, and individual giving

  • Demonstrated success in donor engagement and stewardship, building long\-term, high\-value relationships.

  • Hands\-on experience in planning, organising, and delivering high\-profile events that achieve financial and reputational objectives.

  • Capability in managing multiple events simultaneously, from small donor gatherings to large\-scale fundraisers.

  • Excellent people skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Great organizer

  • Excellent problem solving

  • A friendly, positive ‘can do’ and courteous attitude.

  • An enthusiastic and committed individual who will ‘go the extra mile’ to deliver results

Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
