An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established, employee-owned multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.

Based in and around Swindon with a head office in Leeds, this growing business delivers civil, structural and geoenvironmental services across a wide range of developments throughout the UK. The company is recognised for its technical excellence, collaborative culture and commitment to professional development.

The successful Geoenvironmental Engineer will receive a competitive salary (£28,000 - £34,000), ongoing training and career progression, exposure to diverse projects, flexible working arrangements, pension contributions and the opportunity to work within a supportive and forward-thinking team in Swindon.

The Geoenvironmental Engineer role will involve:

  • Undertaking ground investigation and site inspection work

  • Logging soil and rock samples to current industry standards

  • Carrying out groundwater and soil sampling

  • Producing factual and interpretative reports

  • Supporting geotechnical assessments and contaminated land investigations

  • Assisting with remediation strategies and risk assessments

  • Liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams

  • Supporting projects from initial site appraisal through to construction phases


To be considered for this Geoenvironmental Engineer position, candidates should ideally have:
  • A degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or a related discipline

  • Previous geoenvironmental or geotechnical consultancy experience

  • Strong report writing and communication skills

  • A full UK driving licence

  • Full right to work in the UK

  • The ability to commute to or live near the office

  • Knowledge of ground investigation and contaminated land practices
