General Practice Nurse

Experienced Practice Nurse required for friendly well established organised busy GP Practice in Primary Care Centre Dublin 8

Fully computerized practice knowledge of Health One and Proficient computer skills are an advantage.

Practice nursing experience is desirable

What is important are good communication skills, a professional manner, good organizational skills and a friendly and flexible approach to working in our team and developing the role in the practice.

Flexibility around days and hours. The role is part time, 2 days a week .

Duties include but not limited to

· Adult Vaccination

· Cardiology (ECG, Blood pressure monitors)

· Cervical Smears,

· Diabetes Clinic

· Ear syringing

· Female Health ( STI screening, LARC counselling)

· Immunisations (infant, travel, flu, pneumococcal)

· Injections

· Phlebotomy,

· Skin and wound care (dressings, cryotherapy

· Co\-ordinating and providing CDM (Chronic Disease Management) clinics.

· Managing and ordering of clinical equipment, stock and medication.

· Results Management

· General Practice Nurse duties

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Must be registered with An Bord Altranais. Certificate in Smear Taking an advantage. Midwifery pediatrics trained desirable
