General Operator

Job Title: General Operator Permanent Contract (6\-month probation period)

Location: Safety Systems, Limerick

Reports To: Team Leader / Supply Chain \& Production Manager

The Role

• General Production Operator Duties: Packing, Polishing, Forming, Leak testing, Laser and Ink Jet Marking, Blanking, Spot Welding and any other ad hoc duties the team leader or Operations Management assigns. Training will be given but previous experience in a process type environment/fabrication environment will be an advantage.


• Work with Team Leader in relation to suggestions and recommendations for cost and productivity reductions.


• Working closely with Production Supervisor, Materials and Engineering to produce a product within specification at the most effective cost. Delivering against a number of production \& quality KPI's.


• Complies with all safety procedures and regulations with the company. Wears issued PPE as instructed.


• Monitors tooling and equipment in areas of responsibility and reports repairs, upgrades or replacement to maintenance.


• Follow and adhere to current ISO procedures as instructed.


• Support all quality audit requirements within assigned manufacturing area


• Ad\-hoc duties and project work as assigned.

• Ideally hold a current forklift driving licence/certificate.


• In\-date manual handling certificate desirable.


• Computer literate proficient in Microsoft office.


• Must have a positive attitude, be reliable, have a flexible attitude. Wiling to work evening shift Monday to Friday.


• Ability to work under pressure to meet production targets and customer demands.


• Good communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships with people at all levels.


• Self\-motivated, proactive with the ability to achieve objectives with minimal supervision.


• Day Shift Hours: 08\.00 – 16\.30 Monday to Friday


• Evening Hours: 16:00 – 00:30 Monday – Thursday and 15:00 – 22:30 Fridays


• Hourly rate: €15\.48


• Evening Shift Allowance: 30 %

Pay: €15\.48 per hour
