General Operative – Evening Shift (Food Production & Cleaning)
Shift: 2:00pm–10:00pm (evening shift)
*Note: Initial training period (up to 2 months) will be conducted on the standard day shift, 8:00am–4:00pm, before transitioning to the evening shift.*
Job Description:
Our production facility in Ballyboughal, Co. Dublin is recruiting General Operatives for our evening shift (2pm–10pm), covering Food Production \& Cleaning duties. We're particularly keen to hear from candidates with mechanical aptitude — people who are comfortable setting up, adjusting, and configuring production line machinery, and who can confidently disassemble and re\-assemble equipment as part of routine changeovers, cleaning, and maintenance.
This role requires Operatives to perform their daily work to the highest standard of hygiene, food safety, and health and safety, meeting all targets and reporting issues promptly. You'll be an integral part of a team working together to meet production plans.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and configuring equipment on a fast\-paced production line, with responsibility for meeting daily/weekly production requirements
- Disassembling and re\-assembling machinery for changeovers, cleaning, and routine maintenance
- Complying at all times with SOPs and Safety and Quality procedures in your area
- Understanding HACCP and adhering to all HACCP and food safety standards consistently
- Reporting any product, package, or machine deficiencies to the Production Supervisor or Quality Manager
- Supporting other team members to ensure the production line runs smoothly, safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a hygienic, safe and organised work environment at all times
- Strong mechanical aptitude — comfortable configuring, adjusting, and troubleshooting production machinery
- Practical skills in disassembling and re\-assembling equipment strongly preferred
- Forklift experience advantageous
- Previous experience in similar roles would be an advantage
- Strong work ethic, with motivation to achieve production targets
- Ability to work at a fast pace in a production environment
- Teamwork and positive interpersonal skills
- Must be available for the 2pm–10pm evening shift, and flexible for the initial 8am–4pm training period (up to 2 months)
- Manual Handling Cert would be advantageous, but training can be provided
Own transport required — the site is in the rural location of Ballyboughal, Co. Dublin, with very limited public transport.
Pay: From €15\.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35\.0 – 45\.0 per week
