Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee both our production kitchen and front\-of\-house teams. This individual will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining high standards of quality and service, and leading a motivated team to drive success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production, hospitality management, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations \& Leadership:
- Oversee the daily operations of the front\-of\-house team.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service.
- Implement and maintain operational procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high\-performing team.
- Foster a positive, collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, health, and safety regulations.
- Manage budgets, cost control, and financial performance to drive profitability.
- Analyse sales data and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and customer engagement.
- Manage supplier relationships and oversee inventory control.
- Uphold The Flour Pot Bakery’s brand values and maintain a consistent customer experience.
- Engage with customers to build strong relationships and gather feedback.
- Ensure the café and retail spaces are well\-presented, clean, and welcoming.
- Recruit, train, and retain a skilled team across kitchen and front\-of\-house operations.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Create staff schedules to ensure smooth operation and efficiency.
- Health \& Safety Compliance: Adhere to food hygiene, safety, and company policies, always ensuring compliance is completed to a high standard.
- Ensuring that both the production kitchen and front of house areas are always kept to the highest of standards.
- Ability to create a culture of great communication, including regular team briefs, management meetings, reading and responding to emails during your shift or as and when deemed necessary by senior management.
- Having great lines of communication with the senior management
- Proven experience in a senior management role within hospitality, bakery, or food production.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
- Solid understanding of food production processes and front\-of\-house operations.
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management and cost control.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety and food hygiene regulations.
- Passion for high\-quality food and artisan baking.
