General Manager — The Lord Stanley

We’re looking for a brilliant General Manager to run The Lord Stanley — someone who genuinely loves pubs, great food, good wine, and looking after people properly.

If you’re hands\-on, steady under pressure, and happiest on the floor with your team and your regulars, this could be the role for you.

About the Pub

Tucked away in Camden, The Lord Stanley is a proper North London pub. No gimmicks, no TVs, no loud distractions — just good conversation, big wooden tables, and a room full of people enjoying themselves.

We believe in old\-fashioned pub hospitality: warm, relaxed, knowledgeable service from a team that genuinely enjoys being there. It’s a place where people come to share a bottle, eat well, and settle in for the evening.

The Food

Food sits right at the heart of the pub. Our menu is Mediterranean\-inspired, generous and seasonal, built around well\-sourced ingredients. It changes every four weeks and lives on a chalkboard — simple, honest cooking done well.

We’re proud of the food, and we’re looking for someone who feels the same.

The Drinks

Wine is a big part of who we are. We focus on small producers and interesting, lesser\-known grape varieties that work beautifully with the food. Alongside that you’ll find well\-kept rotating ales, fresh draught beers, a strong spirits selection and a few house infusions.

About Stanley Pubs

Stanley Pubs is a small independent group with a handful of thriving neighbourhood pubs across Islington and Camden. We care deeply about our pubs and the people who run them. We grow carefully, support our teams properly, and give our managers real trust and autonomy.

The Role

You’ll lead the team, set the tone of the room, and take real ownership of the business — making sure The Lord Stanley remains somewhere people want to return to again and again.
