General Manager – Exciting New Contract Mobilisation Opportunity

The Genuine Dining Co. is looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead one of our newest and most exciting Business \& Industry contracts.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a brand\-new, high\-profile site from the very beginning. Currently under construction, this exciting mobilisation project offers the chance to shape and grow a truly standout food destination alongside a fantastic client and a passionate, motivated team.

With a vibrant café space open to both employees and the public, as well as hospitality and events operations, this role is perfect for a commercially minded leader who thrives on creativity, innovation, and delivering memorable customer experiences.

We are seeking an energetic and experienced hospitality professional with a genuine passion for food, people, and service excellence — someone who is excited by the opportunity to build something special and make a real impact. As this project is so community led, someone from the local area would be a great bonus!

Working closely with our client, you will oversee staff dining, coffee bar operations, hospitality, and events, driving performance through innovation, strong leadership, and exceptional standards. You’ll play a key role in growing sales, creating an engaging customer experience, and delivering a commercially successful operation while bringing our Genuine values to life:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the contract in line with The Genuine Dining Co. and client expectations

  • Oversee the smooth and efficient running of retail catering, hospitality, and events operations

  • Inspire, develop, and motivate a high\-performing team focused on exceptional customer service

  • Ensure the contract operates compliantly and commercially, achieving growth and profitability targets

  • Build strong client relationships and consistently exceed expectations

  • Drive innovation across food, service, and customer experience

  • Develop strategic plans to support growth and maximise operational performance

  • Proactively engage with customers and adapt the offer to meet their needs and maximise revenue opportunities
About You

We’re looking for someone who brings energy, creativity, and commercial awareness to everything they do.

You will have:

  • A genuine passion for food, hospitality, and outstanding customer experiences

  • At least two years’ experience in a similar senior food service or contract catering role

  • Experience delivering bespoke food offers and working with branded concepts

  • A creative, hands\-on approach and the confidence to challenge the norm

  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire teams

  • Commercial acumen with a results\-driven mindset

  • Proven experience managing successful teams and delivering operational excellence

  • Budget management and profit \& loss experience

  • The ability to communicate confidently with senior stakeholders and clients

  • Good IT and administrative skills
