Miskin Manor Hotel is an award\-winning country house hotel set within beautiful grounds in the heart of South Wales. Combining historic character with exceptional hospitality, fine dining, weddings, events, and luxury accommodation, we are seeking an outstanding General Manager to lead the next chapter of our growth and success.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives on delivering exceptional guest experiences, inspiring teams, and driving commercial performance. Reporting directly to ownership, you will have full responsibility for the day\-to\-day operation, strategic direction, and financial success of the hotel.
The Role
As General Manager, you will lead all aspects of the hotel's operation, ensuring the highest standards of service, profitability, and team engagement across accommodation, food and beverage, weddings, events, and guest services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing visible and inspirational leadership across all departments
- Driving revenue growth, profitability, and business performance
- Delivering exceptional guest satisfaction and maintaining luxury service standards
- Leading, motivating, and developing a high\-performing management team
- Managing budgets, forecasts, and financial controls
- Maximising wedding, event, corporate, and leisure business opportunities
- Maintaining operational excellence, compliance, and health \& safety standards
- Building strong relationships within the local community and hospitality industry
- Identifying opportunities for innovation, improvement, and business growth
We are looking for a confident and commercially minded hospitality leader with:
- Previous experience as a General Manager, Hotel Manager, or Senior Operations Manager within a quality hotel environment
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of improving revenue and profitability
- Experience managing weddings, events, food and beverage, and accommodation operations
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
- Strong financial management and budgeting capabilities
- Excellent communication and relationship\-building skills
- A hands\-on approach and commitment to operational excellence

Pay: £40,000\.00\-£55,000\.00 per year
