Conexus Pub Group are a family owned pub company who operate 30 sites across London and the home counties and are currently recruiting for a General Manager role at Brendan The Navigator, Highgate Hill, N19 5NQ.
Brendan the Navigator is a friendly independent Irish pub on Highgate Hill, known for its traditional Irish character, live folk, jazz and Irish music sessions, good selection of craft beer, ales and whiskies, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Located opposite Highgate Cemetery, it also offers great outdoor seating areas.
We are offering a commission\-based salary and live\-in accommodation. The ideal candidate(s) will have a proven track record in managing and leading a team in a wet led, community public house. They will be proficient in stock management, budgeting, P\&L control and venue marketing.Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all aspects of pub operations, including staffing, stock management, and customer service
- Developing and implementing new strategies \& events to increase sales and profitability
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers and suppliers
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Managing budgets and financial reports
- Training and mentoring staff members to reach their full potential
- Managing the drink service and event planning
- Keeping the workplace clean and tidy
- Minimum of 2 year's experience as a pub manager or similar role
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast\-paced environment
- A 'can do' attitude and ability to work on own initiative
- An outgoing and friendly personality
- Be a creative and forward thinking individual that will drive the business forward
