Job Title: GDASS Independent Domestic Violence Advisor
Job Location: Various locations across Gloucester
Salary: £30,553 (\+£750 car allowance)
Contract: Permanent
Working hours: 37 per week
Working for Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS \- part of GreenSquareAccord) www.gdass.org.uk, GDASS provides support to victims of domestic abuse (16\+) living in Gloucestershire.
We\`re looking for a skilled and organised Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to support high\-risk victims of domestic abuse across Gloucestershire. This role is ideal for someone with a background in Victim Support, Police, Probation, Social Care (or similar), or with qualifications in criminology, particularly domestic abuse. If you\`re used to managing risks, working with vulnerable individuals, and collaborating across agencies, this could be a rewarding next step.
What you\`ll do:
Provide practical and emotional support to a caseload of high\-risk victims
Carry out DASH risk assessments (Domestic Abuse, Stalking, and \`Honour\`\-based abuse) and safety planning
Work closely with police, social care, and health professionals
Represent clients at Multi\-Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC), ensuring their voice is heard
Support access to services and reduce isolation, including within diverse communities
What we\`re looking for:
Experience in a relevant sector (e.g. Victim Support, police, probation, social care)
Ability to reassess and coordinate workload as priorities regularly change
Strong understanding of risk, safeguarding, and domestic abuse
A proactive, empathetic, and organised approach
Willingness to travel to meetings and events across Gloucester
Specialised in working with older people, aged 65\+.
