Responsibilities

• Deliver dynamic and interactive GCSE English lessons that align with curriculum requirements and individual student needs


• Assess students’ current abilities through diagnostic evaluations and tailor lesson plans accordingly


• Provide clear explanations of literary texts, language techniques, and writing strategies to enhance understanding


• Monitor student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback and adjusting teaching methods as needed


• Support students with exam preparation techniques, including practice questions and time management strategies


• Foster a supportive and motivating classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and confidence\-building


• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress reports, and lesson plans to ensure consistent tracking of development

Experience

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE English or equivalent secondary education levels


• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children or young learners in an educational setting


• Knowledge of special education needs (SEN) strategies to support diverse learning requirements


• Strong communication skills to clearly convey concepts and motivate students of varying abilities


• Previous experience working with exam preparation or curriculum\-based tutoring is highly desirable

Pay: £15\.00\-£20\.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3\.0 – 4\.0 per week
