Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Shop Manager to lead the day\-to\-day operations of our Garden Machinery Shop. Reporting to the Machinery Centre manager this role combines retail management, stock control, process improvement, data analysis, and customer sales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for improving operational efficiency, implementing modern systems, optimising stock management, and ensuring excellent customer service both in\-store and through online sales channels.

The Shop Manager will play a key role in driving profitability through effective stock control, margin awareness, supplier interaction, and involvement in data\-led decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the retail area, ensuring high levels of motivation and performance

  • Implement a digital workshop record keeping system

  • Ensure all stock is recorded on the system with correct pricing

  • Implement sales strategies to meet or exceed targets

  • Manage merchandising displays to optimise product visibility and appeal

  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing enquiries effectively and professionally

  • Manage stock replenishment efficiently

  • analyse data to inform decisions on promotions both in\-store and online

  • Utilise communication skills to liaise with customers, suppliers, and team members
Qualifications
  • Proven management experience within a retail environment, ideally in a in machinery or related sectors

  • ability to supervise and motivate colleagues

  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities

  • Experience of implementing new processes and systems

  • Effective communication skills

  • Experience in merchandising techniques and new product introduction

  • Good administrative skills

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with customers and colleagues professionally and courteously

  • Organisational skills that enable efficient stock control and store presentation

Pay: £30,000\.00\-£32,000\.00 per year
